Radio Propagation

Many people ask us about the range they will get with 50 W transmitter. It is extremely difficult to give a clear answer to this question because radio propagation depends on many variables like wind direction, ground cover, ground elevation, humidity etc. While we can determine the transmitter power, antenna gain and mast height, it does not automatically translate in to the range.

To get an approximate range of the radio staiton Nomad conducts comprehensive radio propagation study and does plotting of RF patterns which helps predicting performance of a radio system. This helps community groups in deciding the best location to put up their tower. As we know FM signals are line of site.

Please contact us if you need to carry out propagation study.
